City of Haverhill April 26, 2005 Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M.

Present,-President Michitson, Councillors Ryan, Daly O’Brien Fossarelli, Hart, DesMarais, Scatamacchia, Hall and Macek

Records of the meeting of April 12 th were approved.

Councillor Daly O’Brien was appointed to read the records for the present week and the past week.

Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the appointment of Mary Beth Roy as real estate custodian for the City of Haverhill. Said appointment effective April 21, 2005.

On motion of Councillor Daly O’Brien that the rules be suspended to introduce a communication from Vincent Ouellette, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Communication was received from Vincent Ouellette, the Human Services Director, requesting to amend the Spring Carnival times of operation on Saturday May 21 st to 12”00 PM to 11:00 PM and Sunday, May 22 nd to 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

On motion of Councillor Daly O’Brien to grant the changes regarding the Spring Carnival, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Communication was received from Councillor DesMarais requesting to introduce Attorney Timothy Barnes to request that April 30th be recognized as Christmas in April Day and also that all fees be waived.

On motion of Councillor DesMarais to waive payment of all municipal licenses and permit fees (but not inspections) relative to work performed during this year’s program and also waive dumping fees for disposal of white goods, tires & leaves, and that DPW be notified of the Council’s action, the yeas and nays were as follows:
