Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M.

Present,-President Michitson, Councillors Daly O’Brien Fossarelli, Hart, DesMarais, Scatamacchia, Hall and Macek

Absent,-Councillor Ryan

Records of the April 26 th and May 3rd meeting were approved.

Councillor Hart was appointed to read the records for the past week and present week.

Communication was received from Mayor Fiorentini requesting to address the Council regarding the FY06 Budget.

On motion of Councillor Fossarelli to suspend the rules to introduce the following Ordinance, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Councillor Fossarelli introduced Document 58 To Wit: MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE CHAPTER An Ordinance Relating To A Waterway Improvement and Maintenance Fund On motion of Councillor Macek to amend the document under section 250A-1 Waterways Improvement and Maintenance Fund, to reduce the $10.00 administrative fee from $10.00 to $5.00, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Petition was received from Christine McCarron requesting to have the fee waived for the Hawker/Peddler license for June 11 th at the HaverhillFest Concert.

Application was received from the Haverhill Police Relief Association represented by Karen Currier for a Hawker/Peddler license to sell hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and popcorn at the Haverhill Stadium on May 21 st from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and also requests that the fee be waived.

On motion of Councillor Macek to grant the license and that the fee be waived, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Councillor Hall introduced Document 75-B To Wit: ORDERED: That the City Council approves the request of Geosearch Inc to excavate at Plaistow Road at Main st for the purpose of test borings. Main Street has been rebuilt within the last two years and in accordance with Chapter 222, Section 11, of the Municipal Ordinances of 1981, City Council approval is necessary.
