Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M.

Present,-President Hart, Councillors Hall, Hetel, Swartz, Daly O’Brien, Scatamacchia, Ryan and Curtin

Absent,-Councillor Macek

Records of the last meeting were approved.

Councillor Hetel was appointed to read the records for the present week.

Communication was received from Police Chief Alan DeNaro requesting to present Officers Matthew Woodman and William Mears with Departmental Citations, commending them for their quick actions which resulted in saving a life.

Communication was received from Councillor Scatamacchia requesting a discussion about creating a graffiti ordinance for private property.

On motion of Councillor Hall to amend as follows: to refer the graffiti ordinance issue to the City Solicitor to research the issue and propose options to the Council, the yeas and nays were as follows:

Yeas 8, Absent 1, and MOTION PASSED

On motion of Councillor Daly O’Brien to amend as follows: that the City Solicitor also inform the Council of current graffiti ordinances in Haverhill especially in regard to public property, the yeas and nays were as follows:
