ORGANIZATION for 2009 CITY OF HAVERHILL JANUARY SIXTH

Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 O’clock P.M.

Present,-President Hart, Councillors Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue, and Quimby

Absent,-Councillor Scatamacchia

Records of the last meeting were approved.

Councillor Quimby was appointed to read the records for the present week.

VOTED: To proceed to the election of a President of the City Council.

Yeas 8, Absent 1

Councillor Hall nominated MICHAEL J. HART

FOR MICHAEL J. HART

President Hart, Councillors Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle,
Donahue and Quikmby. Yeas 8, Absent 1

COUNCILLOR MICHAEL J. HART was declared elected.

The oath of office was then administered to the President-Elect as appears by the following certificate,

Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the appointment of Linda Steeves-Palmer to the COMMUNITY AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD. Said appointment effective immediately.
