Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M.

Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby

Records of the last meeting were approved.

Councillor Macek was appointed to read the records for the present week.


Application was received for Hawker/Peddler license from Robert Daly, to sell hot dogs, sausages, chips, soda, fried dough, and slush at Riverside Park, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, April 23rd thru Nov 30 GRANTED Yeas 9, Nays 0 6-G

Application was received for Handicap Parking signs from:

  1. Julia M Laudenslager new-6 Porter st 35-C
  2. Amber Vine renewal-26 Portland st 35-D
  3. Johanna Deveau renewal-57-59 Beach s 35-E

Communication was received from Councillor Ryan requesting to invite Public Works Director Michael Stankovich to give an outline of a proposed schedule for filling potholes, cleaning of catch basins, street sweeping and pruning trees.

Communication was received from Councillor Hall requesting a discussion regarding Parking Commission suggestions regarding downtown parking impacts due to construction projects and recommendations concerning West st and Washington av.


Councillor Hall introduced Document 40-C To Wit: ORDERED: Order authorizing Mayor to enter into and execute an amendment and any additional applications toMassachusetts Opportunity Relocation and Expansion (MORE) Jobs Capital Program Grant on behalf of City ofHaverhill with Commonwealth of MassExecutive Office of Housing and Economic Development for purpose of securing funds for extension municipal sewer services to industrial area along Fondi rd and Hilldale av.
