Frequently Asked Questions
Concerning Brightside

How can I get involved?
Q: Can Brightside clean up......?
A: Brightside coordinates cleanups with other interested residents.
The organization serves as a catalyst for these efforts - it doesn't have
a ready group of volunteers to send out every time a complaint comes in.
The most successful projects are those in which residents call to initiate
a cleanup in their neighborhood or local park. Brightside works with many
neighborhood groups throughout the City, coordinating trash and yard waste
pickup from these projects with the DPW, planting trees, sharing large
donations of flowers, assisting in fundraising efforts that will improve
a neighborhood's environment, and lending tools, gloves and trash bags.
