Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Records of the last meeting were approved. Councillor Donahue was appointed to read the records
for the present week. On motion of Councillor Ryan to send a letter to Governor
Patrick asking him to support the $2.4 million appropriation in the
State budget for Hale debt relief, the yeas and nays were as

All Depts, Non-Union Parking Control Officer
On motion of Councillor Ryan that the Police Department file a quarterly
report with the City Council, April, July, October and January for
preceding three months, revenue generated from parking enforcement officers

September 4th, 5 PM to 10 PM, “Taste & Toast of Haverhill". Petitions for Joint Pole Locations were received from Verizon NE and MA Electric Co for:

Christine McCarron requesting to hang 3 banners for 5 weeks for
August 16th Big Three Events, beginning July 11th – 1 in Bradford Common,
1 on train bridge Washington st and 1 on Goecke parking deck. Abatement report was received from the Board of Assessors for the month
of June 2008. COMMUNICATIONS Communication was received from Councillor Macek requesting a discussion regarding tree plantings for GAR Park. Communication was received from Councillor Hall requesting a discussion regarding issues of Haverhill School system. Communication was received from Councillor Hall requesting a discussion regarding removal of handicap parking space at 487 Washington st. Communication was received from Councillor Donahue requesting an update on school textbooks that needed to be ordered. Hearing was held on Document 35, Petition from Stephen Defeo
requesting to accept Parker Lane as a public way. Document 35-B, Order to accept Parker Lane as a public way. Hearing was announced on Document 83, a Petition from John
Davidowicz requesting to accept Valley View Farm rd and Overlook cir
