Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Ryan,
Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Councillor Ryan was appointed to read the records for the
present week. PETITIONS Communication was received from Councillor Hall requesting
to introduce John Michitson to speak regarding Innovative
Economic Development Strategies for Haverhill and region. Communication was received from Councillor Donahue requesting
a discussion regarding sacrificing salary and benefits by City Council members for remainder of FY09. Communication was received from Councillor Quimby requesting
a street light across from 148 Homestead st, pole location 369/19. Communication was received from Councillor Hall requesting
a discussion regarding posting a stop sign on Vale st at the
intersection of North Broadway. Hearing was held on Document 108, petition from James
Lyons/Dennysville-Lyons Realty Trust requesting to have Allison
Circle and Julianna Drive accepted as Public Ways. With James
Lyons in favor and no one in opposition, the hearing was closed.
A favorable recommendation was received from the Planning Board and Document 108-BB
ORDERED: That the following street herein described be accepted
as a public way: Julianna Drive

of Haverhill requesting to change Street Names – Barker st
Extension to South Lakeside Ave and a portion of Essex Ave to
Shady Lane (new plan submitted) With John Pettis on behalf of
the City in favor and no one in Opposition, the hearing was closed. Document 109-B
ORDERED: That the following streets herein described be renamed
Barker St extension(In its entirety) To: South Lakeside Ave
and Essex Ave (portion) (Northerly of its north intersection with Scotland Heights Rd to the current end) To: Shady Lane
(see document for complete text) Hearing was held on Document 110, a petition from City of
Haverhill requesting to change street name – Bank Rd to Deluca Dr.
With John Pettis on behalf of the City in favor and William DeLuca IV in
favor the hearing was closed. Document 110-B
ORDERED: That the following street herein described be renamed
from Bank Rd (In its entirety) TO: DeLuca Dr.
