CITY OF HAVERHILL JANUARY SIXTH
Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 O’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue, and Quimby Absent,-Councillor Scatamacchia Records of the last meeting were approved. Councillor Quimby was appointed to read the records for the present week. _______________________________________________________ On motion of Councillor Hall VOTED: To proceed to the election of a President of the City Council. Yeas 8, Absent 1 Councillor Hall nominated MICHAEL J. HART FOR MICHAEL J. HART President Hart, Councillors Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, COUNCILLOR MICHAEL J. HART was declared elected. The oath of office was then administered to the President-Elect as appears by the following certificate, COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS Haverhill, January 6, 2009 Essex ss Then personally appeared MICHAEL J. HART President-Elect of the City Council of the City of Haverhill and was duly sworn to the faithful and impartial discharge of the duties of said office. Margaret A Toomey On motion of President Hart VOTED: To proceed with the election of a Vice-President of the City Councilor Ryan nominated ROBERT H. SCATAMACCHIA FOR ROBERT H. SCATAMACCHIA President Hart, Councillors Ryan, Macek, Daly O’Brien, Hall, McGonagle, COUNCILLOR ROBERT H SCATAMACCHIA was declared elected. The oath of office will be administered to Vice President-Elect on January 13, 2009. Notice was received from Mayor Fiorentini of the appointment of
Linda Steeves-Palmer to the COMMUNITY AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD. Said appointment effective immediately. PETITIONS Petition was received from Russell Ahearn for Highview LLC requesting to have Willie st accepted as a public way REFERRED TO PLANNING BOARD and VOTED: that COUNCIL HEARING be held MARCH 3 2009 2 Applications for 2009 Drainlayer license were received from:

Condition that they certify their business address and refer to
