July 28, 2009 Meeting of the City Council was held at 7:00 o’clock P.M. Present,-President Hart, Councillors Scatamacchia, Macek, Hall, McGonagle, Donahue and Quimby. Records of the last meeting were approved. Councillor Hall was appointed to read the records for the
present week. Notices were received from Mayor Fiorentini of the appointment resignations from: Heather McMann, Rocks Village Historic District Commission, effective immediately. Communication was received from Councillor Donahue requesting a report from Fiorentini administration on $421,000 spent to study the Merrimack River. England & MA Electric Co for a Joint Pole location on East Broadway (plan 698). With Joseph Gleason appearing in favor and no one in opposition. HEARING CLOSED 81 Hearing was held on Document 62, a petition from City Engineer John Pettis requesting Discontinuance of a portion of Marlon st. With Deborah McGarry appearing in favor and Denise Clark and Richard Tellier in opposition, the hearing was closed.
