The March 19, 2013 City Council meeting was cancelled due to inclement weather. Agenda items scheduled for that meeting were combined with the March 26 City Council meeting.

1. Approval of Records of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the March 12 meeting were approved.

2. Assignment of the minutes review for the next Meeting

Councillor McGonagle was appointed to read the minutes.

Communication was received from Mayor Fiorentini submitting an Order to dispose of the Ornstein property, known as 31-35 Railroad Avenue. 35C

ORDERED: That the interest of the City of Haverhill in real property known as 31-35 Railroad Avenue (Map 711, Block 4, Lots 3, 4 and 4A) and Map 712, Block 684, Lots 1 and 2, Haverhill, Massachusetts be declared surplus and that said interest in real property is declared available for disposition. The Mayor is authorized to issue a Request for Proposals for the property. Final approval for the sale of property shall be brought to the Council for authorization.

Communication was received from Councillor Ryan requesting a discussion regarding the heliport at Merrimack Valley Hospital.
COUNCILLOR RYAN STATED THAT SOME RESIDENTS AT KENNEDY CIRCLE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE HELIPORT. COUNCILLOR DALY O’BRIEN STATED THAT THE HELIPORT HAS TO BE CLOSE TO THE EMERGENCY ENTRANCE AND THAT WHENEVER THERE IS A FLIGHT LEAVING OR COMING TO THE HOSPITAL THAT THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS ARE PRESENT
