Councillor Michitson reported that he, Councillors LePage, Macek and President Scatamacchia attending the Joint School Committee and Hunking School Building Committee meeting on Aug. 29. The purpose of the meeting was to select a preferred alternative to the new Hunking school facility. He stated that one choice was given and it passed unanimously by the School Committee and Building Committee. He requested that a letter be sent to Superintendent Scully inviting him to attend an upcoming City Council meeting to provide detailed comparison of all alternatives along with the rationale for the preferred alternative.

Councillor Ryan requested that a letter be sent to Mayor Fiorentini urging him to contact the state about the deteriorating condition of the Basiliere Bridge.
