The Winmill Award - Volunteer of the Year

Each year, The Haverhill Trails Committee recognizes one of its hard-working volunteers by presenting him or her with The Winmill Award. This award is named after the H.T.C.’s first recipient, Dick Winmill. Dick exemplified the spirit of volunteerism in our community and truly enjoyed working on projects like environmental clean-ups, trail-building, and flower and tree planting. Dick has passed away, but his memory lives on with the presentation of this award at our Annual H.T.C. Dinner. In recognition of this award, each recipient receives a traditional engraved hiking staff and a Citation of Appreciation.

Since 1994, we have recognized the following individuals for their hard work and efforts that make Haverhill’s outdoor areas fun for all to enjoy.
