All applicants must submit a completed City of Haverhill application for the position he/she is applying for. The Interview Process:
Applications will be accepted through the closing date. Once the position has closed, all completed applications will be reviewed by the department in a timely manner. Only those applicants selected will continue in the interview process. This could result in one or more interviews. Notices will be sent to those non-selected after the interview process is complete.

The City of Haverhill Police and Fire Departments follow Massachusetts Civil Service Guidelines when hiring new personnel. Positions are filled from an eligible list certified by the Human Resources Division of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
