Meeting of the License Commission was held at 7:00 PM in Room 202, City Council Chambers, City Hall.

Present: Chairman Edwards, Commissioner Sullivan and Commissioner Hanson.

On motion of Commissioner Hanson and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, the minutes of the November meeting were accepted and they were unanimously approved.

Application was received for a Special License for the sale of Wines and Malt Beverages Organizacion Dominicana De Recursos Internacionales, Inc. Located at 83 Arlington Street. The event will take place at the Citizens Center on December 10, 2005. Andres Vargas, Applicant. Mr. Eddie Martinez appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hanson, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for Pre-Approval of a Common Victuallers License from Primo Pizza, located at 2 Water Street Bart Foergetta Jr., Applicant. Mr. Forgetta appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Hanson and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for Pre- Approval of a Common Victuallers License from Irving Oil Corporation, located at 32 Knipe Road. Jessica O’Donnell, Applicant. John Shriver appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hanson the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for Pre Approval of a Common Victuallers License from Morning Glory Breakfast, located at 31 White Street. Lucio D. Gomez, Applicant. Mr. Gomez appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hanson, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for Approval of a Common Victuallers License from El Mangu Restaurant, located at 293 Washington Street. Jorge Garcia, Applicant. Mr. Garcia appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Hanson and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan , the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for Approval of a Car Dealer’s License from Brothers Auto LLC, located at 70 White Street. Mark Philbin, Applicant. Mr. Cliff Dempsey appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Hanson and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for a Transfer of an all Alcoholic License from Carol Mir d/b/a M&M Liquors located at 79 River Street. Carol Mir, Applicant. Transferred from Walcare, Inc. d/b/a 110 Liquors. Ms. Mir appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hanson, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for a Transfer of an all Alcoholic License from A.H.E. Corporation d/b/a Dino’s Pizza Convenience, located at 181 Groveland Street. Charles Manjounes, Jr. Applicant. Transferred from Shah Corporation d/b/a Groveland Market. Mr. Manjounes appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Hanson and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, the application was unanimously approved.

On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hanson the licenses, that met all the requirements Asked by the Haverhill License Commission, were unanimously approved.

Item for Discussion: Procedures of the pre-approval of the Common Victuallers License. Starting today all pre-approvals may be issued a license, subject to getting all the signatures from the Health Department.
