2008 Meeting of the License Commission was held at 7:00 PM In Room 202, City Council Chambers, City Hall.

Present: Chairman Edwards and Commissioner Sullivan

On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards the minutes for the August meeting were accepted and they were unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a One Day Wines and Malt License from the Tattersall Farm located at 542 North Broadway. The Tattersall Farm Day will take place on September 14, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Emily Feigenbaum, applicant. Ms. Feigenbaum appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a One Day Wines and Malt License from the Crescent Yacht Club located at 30 Ferry Street. The 31st Annual Boat Parade Will take place on September 14, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. Jeffrey LeBlanc, applicant. Mr. LeBlanc appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for pre approval of a One Day Wines and Malt License from Butlers & Bars The Ralph Potter Memorial Fundraiser will take place on September 19, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Raymond E. Potter, applicant. Mr. Potter appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a One Day All Alcohol License from Holy Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church located at 154-156 Winter Street. The Greek Festival will take place on October 3rd – October 5th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. Sofia Zaralidis, applicant. Mrs. Rose Young appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a One Day Wines and Malt License from JP McBride’s located at 27 Lafayette Sq. the October Festival will take place on October 11, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. John Lovett, applicant. Mr. Lovett appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a Change of New Officer/Directors from Uno of Haverhill, Inc. d/b/a Uno Chicago Grill located at 30 Cushing Avenue. Kristine Finocchario, applicant. Ms. Finocchario appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards, the application was unanimously approved.

Application was received for approval of a transfer of Issuance of Stock from Cheerleaders Sports Bar & Grill d/b/a Cheerleaders Sports Bar & Grill located at 46 Washington Street. Marc Mantel to Thomas Murphy. Mr. Murphy appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards, the application was unanimously approved.

Show Cause Hearing: Chit Chat Lounge for over serving on July 24, 2008. Mrs. Spencer could not attend the meeting. The License Commission rescheduled the meeting for October 6, 2008.
RESCHEDULED

Show Cause Hearing: Joy Hill Motors for failure to abide by the rules and regulations. Mr. Basil Nwaoz faxed a letter asking the License Commission to reschedule the meeting. No one appeared in favor and no one appeared in opposition. The Commissioners felt that they had sufficient information from the Massachusetts RMV to revoke the class II car dealer’s license. On the motion of Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Chairman Edwards the license was revoked.
LICENSE REVOKED

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM. The next meeting will be held on October 6, 2008.
