Mission Statement:
The City of Haverhill's Water and Wastewater Divisions provide potable water for the Citizens of Haverhill as well as abate water pollutants through its wastewater facility. The following is a brief description of what services are provided by the Water and Wastewater Divisions.

About Us:
The Water Division provides potable water to residents and businesses in the City of Haverhill. The Division consists of Metering, Water Maintenance and Water Treatment. Metering is responsible for: reading the water meters throughout the City; installing, maintaining, and repairing the remote meter reading units; meter testing; and inspecting meter installations.

Water Maintenance is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the water distribution system; installing new water mains, implementing the backflow prevention program; reviewing plans for new water mains and services; approving new water service applications; and maintaining records of the distribution system.

Water Treatment is responsible for operating and maintaining the water treatment facility, pumping stations and water storage tanks; inspecting the drinking water supplies and their watersheds; and monitoring water quality.

The Wastewater Division provides wastewater collection and treatment to the City of Haverhill and wastewater treatment for the Town of Groveland. The Division consists of Wastewater Collections and Treatment. Wastewater Treatment is responsible for operating and maintaining Haverhill's wastewater treatment facility. The wastewater treatment plant provides treatment for the wastewater collected by the City's wastewater collection system.

Wastewater Collection is responsible for maintaining, repairing and operating the City's wastewater collection system. The collection system is the network of pipes, manholes, pumping stations and flow control structures throughout the City that collects and conveys the City's wastewater to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Wastewater Collection is also responsible for cleaning stormwater catch basins throughout the City.

The Billing Office is responsible for billing, collections, and customer service for water and wastewater accounts throughout the City.
