Effective August 1, 2012 the City will begin charging for parking in the Central Business District. The City has hired SP Plus Municipal Services to install 45 high-tech, solar-powered, pay stations.  These parking meters will be installed in city owned parking lots, the Herbert H. Goecke Parking Deck and along streets such as Washington, Wingate, Granite, Essex and Locust. They will accept coins, credit and debit cards. SP Plus will also be selling parking permits for the Parking Deck and city owned lots.  These are priced at $15.00/month, and sold on a quarterly basis for $45.00.  The permits may be purchased from the SP Plus office located in the MVRTA Garage, or through the web at www.sp-haverhill.com (additional fees apply to web purchases).
